In the event of no political party winning an outright majority of seats in the General Election on 6 May 2010, the party with the highest number of votes cast rather than seats won will, according to innumerable commentators, have the greatest democratic legitimacy.
I hope all my Labour Party colleagues advocating tactical voting, active in the mislabled campaign 'Make Votes not Count' and flirting with proportional representation will reflect on the implications of their actions for Labour in government come 7 May 2010.
I'm voting Labour whatever.
