This is a short version of a post I put up on the Labour Democratic Network site here earlier today. This has already prompted a question about whether this debaqte should be in the public domain or not. I believe there is more to be gained by Labour in its effort to rebuild a mass-membership party, than lost by washing some dirty IT linen in public.
My starting point for a rethink set out nine months ago was:
Summary: a member is entitled to:
- an overview of the Party
- be enabled to see how s/he might fit in at a glance, and
- hold those in elected office to account
the proposed web-based service aims to address those requirements
What do you think?
