Is it just because the Labour Party Deputy Leadership election is seen as of little consequence by the media that (so far) there has been news silence about turnout and outcome? Or is it because the voting system is "so complicated" as one BBC News 24 reporter complained this morning? As a Labour Party member, I am proud that the LabOUR party founded over 100 years ago embodies collectivism within its Constitution. Trade unions represent working people, socialists societies represent single-issue campaigners, individual voices are combined in electoral ward-based branches. Labour is the only British political party structured to reflect society through democratic government. Will Brown recognise it as the springboard for a 4th term. Not long to wait now.
