Wisdom of crowds (I jest not) - G Brown

Coffee_housePrime Minister and Labour Party Leader Gordon Brown gave a speech yesterday to Google executives that is exciting WWW interest. Writing on the Spectator's Coffee house blog yesterday, Matthew d'Ancona concluded:

So - believe it or not - the great practitioner of Treasury command-and-control finally declared: 'I believe in the wisdom of crowds'. We'll see if words are matched by action, especially in public service reform and the true devolution of power to neighbourhoods rather than simply to town halls.

To which, we should, add the Labour Party. That link is the route to Labour Party Wiki-politics, providing you are a paid up member; courtesy of Save the Labour Party, Compass Youth and CommentonThis (linked to My Society). Let's release the wisdom of crowds, especially our crowd.

Well I'm a member of the LRC and Compass of course sadly not New Labour, I watched google chat yesterday and again watched Brown trying to copy Camerons free style walk around the stage, sadly Brown looked more like a demented bloke looking for a toilet, it's the second time he's tried to copy something and it's gone wrong, he was walking up and down the stage so fast the cameraman gave up trying to follow him.

Why does he not just be himself and not try so hard at copying others, what works for Cameron does not always work for others.

Dear Robert

That's a bit harsh, I think. Here's what the editor of the Spectator, no less, said .... and he was there!

Confident, relaxed and witty..can't say better than that.

Sorry Robert, I'm with Matt on this one. Especially as it was another deadly blow to the control freaks in Head Office.

I suppose if your in love with Labour you would say this, I suppose a few years ago I did the same, I know that every time he went on walk about the Camera chased him, and he was out of shot, it's not the first time either he did the same thing in Scotland, as for witty are you sure you spelled this right, we had the same thoughts on the global market as he said before. witty and shitty are easy mistake to make.
