Top BBC political radio reporter Polly Billington is off to work as a Special Advisor (aka SpAd) to Labour Election Manifesto supremo and Cabinet Minister Ed Miliband MP, according to sources close to the temple of balanced reporting. This will no doubt add further fuel to the burning pyre of alleged political bias. Indeed, Polly herself was the subject of adverse comment for using the friendly first person plural 'we' (does that include me?) in questions to Labour Party delegates in Manchester for the 2006 Annual Conference as reported here. I'd like to think her undoubted communication skills are going to be put to good use enabling Labour to rehabilitate party politics as good and vital active citizenship.
