European socialist awakening, and hey Italy - wow!
With the European Parliamentary Elections barely 18 months away it's not too early to be thinking about the PES manifesto. Indeed a website has been created here to enable us all to do just that.
While I have managed to lift my eyes from the British agenda, have you read Denis MacShane's piece on the Italian left in the latest issue of Tribune? Three million, yes, three million Italians have just voted to elect the first leader of a new Party fusing all the non-Conservative parties in the country except the Trots.
I know we're starting, but we have a lot of parties, activists and bloggers to involve :-) Thanks for the mention - it is very appreciated!

an "early" should be added after the starting!

Hey Rikke - nothing to apologise for. Quite the contrary, shows appropriate forward planning skills in a democratic party.
It's a pity Gordon Brown didn't think about that when he allowed snap General Election thinking to even develop here a few weeks ago. We in the British Labour Party are now suffering unnecessarily in local by-elections which had started to benefit after Blair's departure.
I know one blogger Chris Paul who thinks Brown will go the country at the same time as the Euros in 2009. His link is on my Blogroll.
